  • So I'm enjoying the fireworks on the 5th of July

lol, yep, the 5th of July. Being it's after midnight wich starts July 5. And our neighbores are still lighting fireworks. Not that it's a bad thing. In fact it's kind of relaxing to tell the truth. A lot better knowing they're fireworks, and not guns being fired is kind of relaxing.

Though I must say, it was a fine day indeed. We didn't light any fireworks. My brother had to work until after nine and we didn't even eat supper until at least 9:45. After that we weren't in the mood. We didn't even bother to buy any this year. Must not be in the spirit.

I was looking at this one board game and it's expansion. I do think it looks pretty good. Really I do. kind of interesting too. I still remember in 7th grade after a trip to chicago, that we had to come up with some kind of project to make with the information we gathered.

Among the list were powerpoint presentation and board game. I chose the board game. I got it done, but just in time. Believe me, it looked terrible. The part that actually looked terrible was the pawn pieces. Basically clay balls painted in colors to look like planes. Or at least an attempt to.

I took the dice from another game I had. Though surprisingly I was able to find it back to put the dice back.

I should try that again. Make my own game. See what comes out of it. Why not. I've got enough free time. Really I do. But a bit too much if you ask me. I even thought up a new version of an old thing. (Which is something I'd let you guess at)

  • It's way to late/early to be up

but hey, I was having a good time. lol.

I finally decided on a new board game today. Well it was a dice game.

And I bought 1ft long hotdogs and buns! My favorite!

That's about it with the high point of my day. Except the high will to cuss out a few (namley five who's names I don't know) people for driving in front of emergency personal wikth lights and sirens. THAT'S JUST TO "R" WORDED!!!!!!

Me, because if my place was or might be on fire or I needed emergency service, then I would be real PO'D too if they ran in front of me. Honeslty I hope they took down there license plate numbers and ticketed the heck out of them. Though I did notice that at least one was pulled over. The county police had cars ready to go to pull people over and someone was pulled over at least every 1/2 mile. If not less.

Welp, I'm tired and finally starting to get ready to go to bed. Perhaps another blog on a rain-check. :)

  • Too spicy to eat?

Not more me. But my dad on the other hand said what I made for dinner was too spicy to eat. Which was a first for him. Really it was. I told him that the soup made his cajun peanuts taste like baby food (something along those lines) compared to this soup. :)

I made a curried chicken banana soup from a recipe I found. But the main problem I had was the lack of chicken stock, I misread the directions and since it was doubled it called for 16 cups of chicken stock. I thought it was supposed to be 16oz. So I ended up with 2 cups of chicken stock and 14 cups of water. Still turned out alright. I poured out a box of half used chicken stock which was a bit moldy. I kept forgetting it was up there.

The other problem I ran into is dumping the grease from the chicken. I lost two huge pieces of boneless chicken. (I used boneless because I didn't really think I'd have time to de-bone the chicken. My mom told me I should of pulled it out of the bag and then dump the grease, but with the fact is I really didn't want to stick my hand in all that grease and what not, but then again I also forgot about the strainer which I should of used.

By the time I was done with my second bowl, I actually almost broke out in a sweat. Though the onion I used I swear was about 6 inces in diameter. lol But it was about 3 1/2 inch in diameter.

It's Tanzanian. I always thought about adding Tanzania to my list of places I want to travel. I guess I've been interested ever since elementary school, when we had to learn about an African country we were assigned. Though back then things were literally quite the challenge.
